Jon Stewart Body-Slammed by John Cena on ‘Monday Night Raw’
He pinned Rollins, but there was no ref around.
Wrestler John Cena is known to exact revenge on those who’ve wronged him, and he did just that on “Monday Night Raw”, schooling comedian Jon Stewart with his signature “Attitude Adjustment”. Rollins then gave Cena a pedigree for the pin to retain the heavyweight title and win the U.S. title.
With the Raw segment where he confronted Rollins, and cut a promo that showed more knowledge of wrestling history and WWE continuity than several Tough Enough contestants combined, I became a full-blown mark for the guy.
WWE fans, what did you think of this year’s SummerSlam?
His hosting duties were announced a while ago, but no one was sure whether or not he’d get back in the ring after his infamous entanglement with Seth Rollins during a previous match. It is getting much more attention now and has really looked the best it has looked in years. Yes, I know he’s a heel, but the fact that majority of his paper view matches ends with assistance is mind boggling.
The match was a B+, but had a C+ finish.
Both of them were reportedly scared to interview Brock Lesnar.
It seems that the door for future matches will remain open.
(Photo: Reddit) The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar share a laugh at ‘SummerSlam’. After a confusing ringing of the bell, which led the official to shout at the timekeeper, The Undertaker low-blowed Lesnar and locked him into the “Hell’s Gate” position. This controversy at least made sense.
After the match ended, WWE tweeted “The first”. So who came out looking good or bad from this? Either way it will be worth watching again. When I wrestled for other promotions before I got to WWE, even down at NXT, the opportunities didn’t come to be out there doing a 15-minute monolog, giving gifts to J&J Security and Kane and presenting a auto and stuff like that.
Surely, Cena would see the logic in that, right?
