JonBenet Ramsey’s brother, Burke, will speak to media for first time
The three-part season premiere airs Monday, September 12th; Tuesday September 13th; and Monday September 19th (check local listings).
This December will mark 20 years since JonBenét Ramsey was senselessly killed when she was only six-years-old. Perhaps now that he has had time to mourn the loss of his mother, he feels ready to expose skeletons in the family’s closet that he formerly kept hidden out of loyalty to her. The public was also fascinated with the little girl’s murder because she came from a wealthy home and because she was a competitor in beauty pageants.
In 2008, then-District Attorney Mary Lacy wrote a letter to John Ramsey, saying that new DNA evidence had cleared him, his wife and son. A ransom note demanded $118,000, but no indication of a break-in at the Tudor mansion was found, People reported.
The 29-year-old will reveal “what he knows about his sister’s mysterious murder”, the show says on its website.
Burke Ramsey, brother of JonBenet Ramsey, is now 29 and pictured with his girlfriend. The Dr. Phil Show claims that information and details will be shared that have never been public before. The Dr. Phil Show has sent out media releases to hype Burke Ramsey’s appearance on the popular talk show. After 20 years, it’s finally time for answers. However, in 2010, police desired to re-interview Burke in the continuation to investigate JonBenet’s death, the site mentioned.
For a while Burke, too, was a person of interest in the case considering he had been in the home, but Patsy and John were adamant that he was not involved and had been sleeping the entire time – and in May 1999, he was fully exonerated by DNA evidence.
The Ramsey’s reached an undisclosed settlement.
