Jordan Blackburn Hospitalised After Taking Drugs At Music Festival Shares Coma
Jordan Blackburn, 19, was among several people treated in hospital after taking drugs at Kendal Calling last month.
Christian Pay, 18, a member of the group admitted to the Cumbria Infirmary, died in hospital.
Jordan Blackburn, 20, from Millom in Cumbria, needs to warn others of the risks of substance abuse.

“I’ve been lucky enough to have a second chance at life and I’m clinging to every part for me and Chris, so the most I can do is let people know the consequences they put themselves in and their family”.
A number of days after the event, and after he emerged from his medically induced coma, Blackburn posted online that he’d been given a “second chance at life”.
Blackburn’s mother, Alison Turnbull, told the BBC that her son “just wants to raise awareness”. I knew about Christian and I just thought, “this is it”, I just thought we’d lost him.
One teen wishes to encourage said abstinence through the sharing of his own story after ingesting unknown substances with his friends while at a music festival in the UK.
“He just wants to raise awareness”.
“Physically he’s fine. He’s still really exhausted; his body has been through quite a trauma”.
“Mentally he’s coping OK, but I think he’s got what I would call survivor’s guilt”, she said.
“You never [realize] until it’s too late…You never think at that moment it is ever going to happen to you, but unfortunately you learn the hard way”. In addition, the police department reported that four people were arrested for possession of drugs and also the suspicion of the intent to sell.
