José Aldo wants a rematch, says he can ‘whoop’ Conor McGregor anywhere
It appears Jose Aldo might be sitting on the sidelines for a very long time if he’s not willing to stray from his demand of a title shot or Conor McGregor rematch for his next contest.
UFC officials have a hard decision to make, because both Aldo and Edgar have more than legitimate claims at the next shot at the featherweight belt.
“My only exception would be fighting the notorious, at any time, anywhere”, he added.
‘Keep my belt, but I wanna whoop your ass anywhere’. But Conor first has a date with Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 197 on March 5 at 155 pounds.
Although Aldo said the UFC promised him a rematch opportunity with McGregor, the brash Irishman has since moved on to another opponent.
Earlier this week, Aldo told reporters that if his punch would have landed completely, it would have been him celebrating his tenth title defense, per Pundit Arena. I still believe in the company that I work for.
“We can do it back-to-back and that will be UFC 204 or whatever, that would be the next biggest fight”, Edgar said.
Following Aldo’s stunning KO loss to McGregor at UFC 194, the former featherweight champ has called for another crack at his rival.
But until somebody beats McGregor and stops his current run of UFC immortality, he can say whatever he wants, and next to nothing is impossible.
He then continued: “The thing is we made the fight the first time and he got hurt, he had to pull out”. He knew as well as anyone that Aldo would want the rematch and so he called around trying to strengthen his position.
Conor McGregor might best be described as a transparent character, with his penchant for boisterous pre-fight proclamations and his larger-than-life, belligerent personality. It’s tough to make that fight again right away. And since he’s afraid to return to me my belt, I don’t even have to be by the belt. And as for the rest of the featherweights, just mix it up amongst yourselves for the moment, the King has left the division.
