Jose Mourinho link to Man Utd is invented: Van Gaal
Reports are out that former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, who is one of the prime candidates to replace Louis van Gaal at Manchester United, is “considering a role in China” as the Chinese Super League continues its quest for world football dominance.
Embattled Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal suffered a fresh blow yesterday when the Premier League club’s share price dipped to its lowest level in over three years.
“A lot of things happened from when you give the ball away to when they’ve scored the goal, so I don’t think we can stand here and blame Memphis”.
They were good value for the lead procured by Lingard’s 61st-minute strike – a sharp turn and shot after Wayne Rooney had taken the sting out of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson’s left-wing cross – but Van Gaal was annoyed that they could not close the game out.
“You’ve spoken with (chief executive) Ed Woodward?”. “You too”, Van Gaal responded as he exited the St. James’ Park press room, pointing out at the room: “Fat man, there”.
So you didn’t speak to Ed Woodward, not with the Glazers (owners) and you are inventing a story.
“I don’t have to answer this question and I shall repeat myself every week”.
“Now I have to say that you (a reporter) are getting the sack tomorrow”.
It’s also thought that Pochettino will get the United squad playing “good football”, with one of the major criticisms aimed at Van Gaal being that his team fail to play the “United way”, with defensive-minded performances aplenty.
Sacked Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is a name in the frame, and despite claims that he’s ‘confident’ of being in the Old Trafford dugout next season, reports reveal that Pochettino is also being considered. “Look at your wife, maybe you have children, or a nephew or something like that”. United went into the weekend five points below the Champions League places in fifth place.
