Jose Mourinho positive Paul Pogba’s Man United transfer will soon happen
New United manager Jose Mourinho is so confident of landing Pogba he’s reportedly “acting increasingly as if Pogba has already signed”, according to French publication L’Equipe, via Get French Football News. The midfield now boasts of the newly-recruited Pjanic, the soon-to-be-fit Claudio Marchisio and Sami Khedira, while Pogba could still remain for the new season after it emerged no concrete offers have come in from United or Madrid for him.
“United are also being linked with a move for Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen, with Jürgen Kloppexpected to inform the Wales global that he can leave Anfield once he returns from a post-Euro 2016 holiday”.
It has been suggested that Real Madrid could sell a player for big money this summer in order to fill their transfer coffers and move for Pogba, but they recently ruled out selling Alvaro Morata after signing him back from Juventus this summer.
Should Pogba decide against returning to England’s north-west, United will move for his French global teammate Blaise Matuidi. The same could be said for Juventus, who are looking to build a team capable of winning the Champions League and retaining Pogba will serve that goal.
“They are both Juventus players and I hope they will stay”, Allegri told reporters.
The 23-year-old refused to publicly clarify his future in a brief interview on ESPN at the ESPYs awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, where he was asked what he would do if Mourinho called him.
“If I see someone is wiped out, I’ll give them a little more vacation time”. Amid rumours regarding interest from Manchester United, the France global will continue to recover after his summer exploits before returning to the club in time for their return to Italy.
Juventus have omitted Paul Pogba from their squad for the International Champions Cup, along with a throng of players who participated at the European Championship. With defender Eric Bailly signing from Villarreal, midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan arriving from Borussia Dortmund, and striker Zlatan Ibarhimovic moving on a free transfer, the fourth target is widely thought to be Juventus midfielder Pogba.
