Joseph Gordon Levitt slays Usher Yeah on Lip Sync Battle
Joseph Gordon-Levitt knows how to work a stage.
Mackie started off the proceedings with a spot-on impersonation of MC Hammer (or, make that, Hammer), replete with white suit, sunglasses and slick moves, for a rendition of the rapper’s 1991 hit, “2 Legit 2 Quit”.
Here’s a sneak peek at their Thursday night appearance on “Lip Sync Battle”.
The actor’s foray into lip-syncing started two years ago when he went on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and did a lip sync battle with Stephen Merchant. But though the three “The Night Before” co-stars were there, only Gordon-Levitt and Mackie officially duked it out in a lip sync battle.
Moving on from “Yeah”, Captain America’s Anthony Mackie has lip synced on Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl”, but he didn’t even came close to Joseph, let’s get serious now.
Round 2 was where both actors really brought the heat. “That was a sexually charged performance”.
