Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger Are Not Married Because They Are Not Religious

Though Joshua Jackson seems settled down, he is not ready to commit. The actor was seen talking about his relationship with actress Diane Kruger in the upcoming November issue of Glamour.

He explained why he has not yet got married to longtime girlfriend Kruger. He said they are not married because they are not religious. The fact that they are not legally married does not change anything. Since they have not stood in the church in front of the priest does not make them less committed to each other. Since both of them have seen divorces of their parents, therefore it is hard for both of them to believe in the institution of marriage and commitment to one another after marriage. When this thinking will change, may be then he will get married.

The Dawson Creek actor said the same thing to Us Weekly back in June 2012 in Los Angeles. He said that marriage is important for people but not for them and they are not religious enough to go for that push. He is not saying he will never get married but he does not when he will. Diane Kruger, 38, started dating Joshua in the year 2006 after her divorce from actor Guillaume Canet. She was married to him for 6 years from 2001 to 2006. Her divorce made her realize that commitment is done in the heart and not on paper.

She told Metro that she has no intention of marriage and she does not believe in love at first sight but yes, she does believe that opposites attract which is the case with Joshua Jackson. Jackson told Glamour that they are opposite to each other with regards to fashion sense. He said he has learnt about fashion from Kruger. Though marriage is not what they want but Jackson definitely wants to become a father one day as he is at that age.
