Journey continues: Avril Lavigne on battle with Lyme disease
Singer Avril Lavigne, who has been open about her battle with Lyme disease, says she is taking care of herself and that the journey continues.
Posting a picture of 13 vials of blood she had drawn during the appointment, she wrote on Instagram: “On my way to good health #TakingCareOfMyself #F**kLymeDisease”.
Avril Lavigne is “on the way to good health”.
Lavigne also shared another snapshot of herself waiting to get checked up by the doctor, with the caption, “This journey continues…”
And she added a lyric from her Special Olympics single Fly, writing: ‘Just reach up, don’t give up unto you touch the sky…We were all meant to fly’. “#DrOfficePhotoShoot @Hurley @amusesociety (sic)”. “I want to go out there and truly do what I love, so I’m so excited for life after this”.
One noticeably missing item in her wardrobe was her huge diamond sparkler from now-soon-to-be ex-hubby Chad Kroeger.
Lavigne and Kroeger’s marriage can’t have been easy, given that the star was diagnosed with Lyme disease less than a year after their wedding.
The “Complicated” singer took to Instagram to confirm the rumors that they are calling off their marriage, The Daily Mail said.
“It is with heavy hearts that Chad and I announce our separation”, the hitmaker wrote in an emotional statement. News, Avril Lavigne is “doing well” from her divorce with Chad Kroeger and is living in Los Angeles to fast track her recovery from the disease, which was diagnosed late previous year . Avril was bedridden for five months, and has previously said that she thought she “was dying” because of symptoms including not being able to eat, and not being able to talk or move. “My friends asked, ‘What’s wrong?’ I didn’t know”.
The “Girlfriend” singer believes a tick bit her sometime in the spring of 2014.
‘To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support’.
