Jovetic completes Inter loan move
Manchester City have confirmed that Stevan Jovetic will go to Inter Milan. The 25-year-old passed a medical with Inter earlier in the week and later sent a message to City’s fans on Instagram which read “thank you and farewell”.
However, Inter have stated on their official website that Jovetic has signed a four-year deal lasting until 2019, and so the exact duration is yet to be determined; however, one thing for sure is that the forward has joined.
“We are pleased to announce the arrival of Jovetic”.
“He’s another important player for our team, a dynamic player who will make our attack even better”. (Roberto) Mancini will get the best out of him.
Jovetic joined City from Fiorentina in the summer of 2013, but has not been a regular in Manuel Pellegrini’s side and has decided to move on to pastures new.
While questions remain over the future of the Italian worldwide given his time at Anfield looks over, Jovetic will now look forward to returning to Serie A where he initially shone for Fiorentina.
His departure had been on the cards since January, when he was omitted from City’s Champions League squad as they were limited to 16 non-homegrown players, and he only made two substitute appearances in the final three months of the season. He also set up his team-mates with six goals.
