Judge bars recordings of abortionists’ meetings

House Republican leaders announced July 15 a congressional investigation of Planned Parenthood, a day after anti-abortion activists released a video of an unsuspecting official from the organization explaining how it provides fetal tissue to researchers.

While the battle rages on between Planned Parenthood and anti-abortion groups, a group of Republican U.S. Senator are working on a bill that would take away Planned Parenthood’s federal funding.

“Let me just figure out what others are getting”, Gatter says, as reported by the 8-minute-long Center for Medical Progress video.

The White House on Thursday dismissed the latest video accusing Planned Parenthood of selling fetal organs and tissue, calling the group behind the sting “extremists on the right”.

“NAF would be likely to suffer irreparable injury, absent an ex parte temporary restraining order, in the form of harassment, intimidation, violence, invasion of privacy, and injury to reputation, and the requested relief is in the public interest”, he wrote.

The undercover video released Thursday shows Dr. Savita Ginde, vice president of Denver-based Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, discussing prices of aborted fetal remains, the center says.

Vicki Saporta, president and CEO of NAF, said in a statement that the “safety and security” of the organization’s members are their top priorities.

Daleiden in a statement said the Center for Medical Progress “follows all applicable laws in the course of our investigative journalism work“, and will contest any attempts to suppress its constitutional rights under the First Amendment. She called it part of a smear campaign “by extremists whose focus is banning abortion and preventing women from accessing vital health care services at Planned Parenthood health centers”.

The controversy over Planned Parenthood continues.

Planned Parenthood has not joined the lawsuit against the anti-abortion group, but a spokesman for the family planning provider said Friday that it supports NAF’s legal action “to hold the perpetrators of these multiple frauds accountable”.

Planned Parenthood has been a trusted nonprofit provider of women’s health care for almost a century. In the second video, the point of concern is that the Planned Parenthood official is seen haggling over the price of aborted babies’ body parts and joking about needing the money to buy a Lamborghini. To record a confidential communication in California, all parties participating in it must agree to the recording. In order to have a nationally accredited ob-gyn program, the school must offer training for all aspects of the field, including abortions, whether elective or medically necessary, said MUSC spokeswoman Heather Woolwine.

Last week, the Center for Medical Progress released its initial video, one of supposedly many, which featured hired actors posing as interested buyers of fetal tissue.

In one of the previously aired videos, a woman identified as a former StemExpress phlebotomist describes drawing blood and dissecting dead fetuses.
