Judge sentences Frazier Glenn Cross to death

Cross, also known as Frazier Glenn Miller, is a Vietnam War veteran who founded the Carolina Knights of the Ku Klux Klan in his native North Carolina and later the White Patriot Party.

A Missouri man convicted of fatally shooting three people at Jewish sites in Kansas has been sentenced to death. Minutes later, Terri LaManno was shot outside the Village Shalom retirement community, where she had gone to visit her mother.

In Chapter 3 of his book “A White Man Speaks Out”, he wrote about what he called the Greensboro Shootout. Five people were killed and 10 more were injured.

Frazier Glenn Miller Jr, 74, targeted the sites on Passover holiday in 2014 but his victims were not Jewish.

Jurors recommended the sentence in September.

“I wanted to kill Jews, not people”, Miller said.

William Corporon’s son, Tony, told Cross he hopes he finds peace, but urged Ryan to affirm the jury’s sentence.

Even though Cross admitted to murdering three people and said that his mission in life was to kill Jews, he still pled for his life. Before he learned his fate, he heard from the families of the shooting victims.

During the trial’s closing arguments, Steve Howe, the prosecutor, said that Miller’s actions “clearly are the type of case the death penalty is made for”.

To conclude victim statements, Mindy Corporon played a cellphone recording of her son Reat singing the national anthem as almost everyone in the courtroom stood in a show of respect.

Corporon’s wife, Melinda Corporon, described the love her husband had for his family and his work as an emergency room physician. “This court, it is because you’re under rule of the Jews, and you support yourself accordingly”, Cross said. Alissa LaManno, daughter of Terri LaManno asked.

Cross is expected to be sentenced after the victim impact statements are finished. He suffers from chronic emphysema and has said he doesn’t have long to live.

“I thrive on hate”, he said.
