‘Julian Draxler has not agreed Juventus deal’
ESPN FC’s Gabriele Marcotti discusses the possibility of Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze being transferred to Juventus.
Julian Draxler started in a friendly for Schalke on Wednesday amidst reports that a potential move to Juventus has hit a stumbling block.
Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt has confirmed that Juventus have asked their permission to open talks with Draxler and his agent, which they have granted.
Agreement over a fee should follow once the Bianconeri finalises terms of the contract with the 21-year-old midfielder.
Draxler, whose current deal expires in 2018, is expected to cost in excess of £20m should he arrive in Turin this summer. This stems from concerns about fitness of Julian Draxler. According to many Germany and Italy media Schalke 04 has given green light to Juventus for negation with player about possible transfer.
The news may come as a blow to Arsenal – who, as the Metro state, has been linked to the Gunners for the past four transfer windows. “I want to play my card and repay the faith shown in me by Juve”.
Draxler, 21, has been chased by a number of Europe’s top clubs since his emergence in the Bundesliga a few years back and Arsenal are one of the sides interested in his services, as reported by the Express. We’re ready to make our contribution.
