Jurgen Klopp would be ‘perfect’ fit for Liverpool
Liverpool lost 3-1 to Manchester United at Old Trafford after suffering a 3-0 defeat by West Ham United at Anfield before the global break to leave the Reds in 10th place in the Premier League.
Therefore, it is clear to see that Rodgers is presently walking on thin ice and it is believed that the Liverpool boss could get his marching orders if things do not improve significantly during the foreseeable future.
Jurgen Klopp is the favourite with bookmakers to replace Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool, and according to former Anfield favourite Dietmar Hamann, the former Borussia Dortmund manager would be “perfect” for the role.
Hamann feels Rodgers still has the club’s backing, yet is adamant that Klopp would be the perfect replacement if Liverpool were to part ways with their current manager.
But the German is still regarded as one of the finest managers in European football.
Klopp also masterminded a charge for the Champions League in 2012/13, with Dortmund eventually losing out to rivals Bayern Munich in the final.
However, his agent admitted that the German boss will not be returning back into management until at least the summer.
“Had they asked him before the season, I’m 99% sure that he would have joined them”. Many people say that he will take over Bayern on July 1, 2016, but I don’t know whether he’s a fit there. Jurgen Klopp is the elephant in the room but Liverpool backed Rodgers this summer. “He’d be a great fit at Liverpool”.
Klopp won two Bundesliga titles during his spell at Dortmund.
