Justice League: Plot details, logo, Batmobile image, and more revealed
The new information we’ve learnt is all thanks to numerous set visit reports which have hit the web, giving us a much better idea of what to expect from Zack Snyder’s upcoming film.
Firstly, the synopsis – which outlines how Batman teams up with the rest of the gang in the first place.
One scene that had already been shot before it was shown, depicted Bruce Wayne’s (Ben Affleck) first meeting with Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) aka The Flash, who the Dark Knight is trying to recruit to the superhero team he and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) are trying to set up. While Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman have now all been introduced – both to each other and to the audience – characters like Aquaman, Cyborg, and Flash have not, and this will act as that inevitable, much needed introductory film.
Speaking to BDM on the London set of Justice League, Affleck explained that he wouldn’t make the film, now titled The Batman, until he was happy with the script. It’s not going to be-DC movies, I think, by their nature are a little more mythic than some comic book movies are. He’s been killed and resurrected more than once, the first and most notable time after he assassinated the wife of Izaya, the Highfather of New Genesis and Darkseid’s opposite number. It was a sentiment echoed by Ben Affleck, who plays Batman.
With this installment, Batman would have more of a sardonic wit; he’d also embrace the World’s Greatest Detective moniker, which was relatively absent in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Steppenwolf is going to be filmed via motion-capture and the role has yet to be cast, though Deborah Snyder says they are “close” to finding the right actor.
And with these sprinkles of goodness now filling up the DC Cinematic Universe chatter, Warner Bros. decided not to stop there while controlling the news cycle today and have plopped down a nice fat juicy cherry on top of everything else – an official synopsis for JUSTICE LEAGUE. I think that’s hard because it’s people we’ve grown up with and that we care about.
Sounds promising. So when will we see Affleck’s vision for Batman?
