Justin Bieber breaks down in tears and sobs after triumphant comeback
The pop star danced, flew and broke down in tears after he returned to the VMA stage for the first time in five years for the first live performance of his new single “What Do You Mean”. The video for the song is set to premiere on Vevo after the VMAs.
Justin Bieber took time out from rehearsing his “What Do You Mean?” performance at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards to deface Kanye West’s seat at the awards ceremony with a Magic Marker and to kiss Britney Spears. As the lights turned red, Bieber stepped into the spotlight.
It’s the era of the new-and-improved Justin Bieber – you know, less douchey, more “I’m serious about my music and faith” – which involves a rebirth via air baptism.
Showing a much deeper side to himself, the star bent over double overwhelmed by emotion as the crowd erupted following his performance.
Some Bieber fans tweeted their support for the young artist.
After keeping the crowd on their toes and being lifted off the stage in a harness, an emotional Bieber covered his face with his hands and broke down crying.
Obviously confident in his singing and dancing abilities, the star started with the Skrillex and Diplo track Where Are U Now? which he features on.
