It nearly sounds like a joke: the heavily-tattooed, platinum-haired, post-arrest 2015 Justin Bieber slowly wiping away the memory of his baby-faced teen-idol past self by remaking one of his old piano ballads into a tropical-house banger.

“What Do You Mean?” singer Justin Bieber has teamed up with rock icon (and fellow Canadian) Bryan Adams for a spontaneous acoustic duet.

During the performance, Adams strums the guitar and harmonizes Bieber on the choruses in the song, while the pop star holds his own even dropping the rap into the performance.
