Justin Timberlake says he’s not a ‘very good’ parent

The couple welcomed son Silas in April and enjoyed a rare joint outing at the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network’s Respect Awards in Beverly Hills on Friday (09.23.15), where they joked that it was odd to spend time with people who “don’t smell like poppy diapers”.

“I said ‘Matt, you make us breakfast in your own tortilla pan with a headband on while you’re wearing a mud mask every morning.'” he recalled with a laugh. Biel wore a form-fitting emerald Dolce & Gabbana dress, showing off her very enviable post-baby body and she and Timberlake were nothing but smiles, attending the event just days after their third wedding anniversary.

Being parents to a toddler means date nights out are few and far between, and Timberlake made note of that fact.

“Thank you for letting mom and dad to really have a uncommon date night outside jointly with other grownups”, the “Mirrors” vocalist quipped.

Justin then turned to his handsome spouse and joked: “Honey, look around, this is what adults look like! They do exist. They don’t smell like poopy diapers – a few of you do”, he said to laughter.

Joined by Allison Williams and Michelle Monaghan, the “Dawson’s Creek” darling was stunning as she worked her magic for the shutterbugs while new parents Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel stood nearby.

Last weekend, Timberlake got emotional when he officially became the youngest singer to be inducted into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame.

In September, Timberlake sat down on pal Jimmy Fallon’s late night talk show to talk about the excitement of being a new father.

“It’s the most insanely astonishing, fantastic, incredible thing to ever occur to you personally”, Timberlake gushed.
