Kaby Lake Processor Is Still Questionable
It is rumored that the upcoming Apple’s MacBook Pro 2016 laptop will be launched this coming September, together with the launch of Apple’s iPhone 7.
The current 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models. Although the Cupertino-based company has yet to provide specific details with regard to its development and release, fans and critics have always been sharing their own predictions on what the device can offer. It really depends on how really you need to buy a new laptop since there are no exact dates of when will be the future Macbook Pros to be refreshed with Kaby Lake processors released.
During the Intel Developer Forum, a small demonstration of Kaby Lake processors was shown, and it looks the these 7 generation processors pack quite a bit of firepower, as they were able to render a 4K video while the game Overwatch was being played on the notebook. During the event, there were on-screen demos that shows off the power of the latest processor.
Intel’s Kaby Lake chips are the third line of processors from the company to be built on a 14nm process. The game settings or resolution, video bitrate, and other details regarding the notebooks weren’t disclosed, however.
The imminent arrival of Kaby Lake will be succeeded next year with the launch of Intel’s first 10nm chips, codenamed Cannonlake, in the second half of 2017. The old Intel roadmap reveals that MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac that are suitable for Kaby Lake processors will not be launched until the year end.
As of this moment, fans will have to wait for Apple to make an official announcement regarding the release of MacBook Pro 2016.
According to Yibada, Skylake processors, which is most likely to be the processor that the new Macbook Pro will be running, will boost the CPU speed of the forthcoming devices by 10% up to 20%. Until then, all rumors and speculations must be taken with a grain of salt.
