Kane Kicks Off RAW – And He’s Running The Show Tonight
Kane finally tells The Authority the main event, and they forbid him from going out there. When the ring cleared out, Kane reversed a Pedigree attempt and gave Rollins the tombstone piledriver. With 10 matches and just enough promo, there’s was plenty to think about after this week’s Monday Night RAW.
He is in the middle of a feud with New Day but after Dolph Ziggler joined the fray last week, could the Showoff and Cena be heading for a match at Hell in a Cell for the WWE United States Championship?
Packing the first hour of Raw – when many viewers are checking in and deciding whether they want to stick with the show or flip over to Monday Night Football – with so much drivel, particularly in an environment where Raw’s ratings are eroding and cratering each week was a questionable and ill-advised move on WWE’s part.
Additionally, the Raw segment marked the second week in a row that The New Day was programmed with Cena, meaning that WWE has faith in what they’re doing by virtue of programming them with the face of the company. Big E has been rumoured as a possible opponent but seeing that the big guy could be tied up in that tag team title match, fighting twice in one night doesn’t seem likely. Barrett hit Neville with a Bullhammer Elbow from the outside of the ring, allowing Sheamus to get the pin.
The blatant breaking of rules was just one sign of a change in attitude, the other being Ziggler’s refusal to meet Cena in the center of the ring for a shaking of hands. We’ve got the full results of the show for you, so read on to find out what happened.
HHH and Stephanie McMahon are running late due to issues with their flight and have put Kane in charge. After the match, Summer Rae dumped Rusev for being engaged to Lana.
Sure, he is immensely popular with the fanbase which respects his fantastic ring work, but for the sake of the product and his future aspirations, a heel turn is best for all involved. The IC Title has somehow grown silent lately though the win by Owens over Ryback was something that many had not expected.
Since then, Paige has been distancing herself from her Team PCB stablemates, while Natalya has been slotting in as a replacement of sorts. Owens pinned Kalisto after a powerbomb. The finish in this one saw Twin Magic almost go wrong for Nikki Bella, as Brie was being stopped, however Nikki used the distraction to hit her Rack Attack finisher for the victory.
