Kansas Man Charged With Abuse After Human Remains Found

The father of a missing 7-year-old boy was charged Friday with child abuse while authorities investigate the discovery of human remains in a barn where the man lived. ‘Their house was just filthy.

44-year-old Michael Jones is accused of battering and assaulting his girlfriend and torturing or cruelly beating his 7-year-old son on November 25th.
Eight children, ages 1 to 11, lived in the home.

Michael A. Jones, 44, of Piper, outside of Kansas City, has been arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated battery and child abuse after cops responded to a domestic violence call on Wednesday, according to News2. “Trash everywhere. Dried food all over the house”.
“There are bullet holes in the walls of that house”.
According to the Wyandotte County District Attorney, initial reports suggest that Michael Jones had a 7-year-old son from a previous relationship and that son was missing.
The remaining seven children have been taken into protective custody.
Jones is expected to make his first court appearance on Monday. His bond is set at $10 million.
