Kanye Tried Out for ‘American Idol’, Brought Kim for Support

West, who was in San Francisco over the weekend to perform at a fundraiser for the Democratic National Convention (Vote Kanye 2020), dropped by the open auditions for American Idol’s final season, which will premiere in January.

He rapped a verse from one of his biggest hits, Gold Digger, which references judge Jennifer Lopez.

As X17 reports, Kanye and Kim met up with Serena Williams in SF as soon as they got off the plane.

The American rapper was accompanied by his pregnant wife Kim Kardashian West to the studio and she congratulated West when he came out of the audition with the ticket in his hand.

Also, wouldn’t you know it, Yeezus paid back the favor in full to President Obama by blessing him with a couple of pair of Yeezy Boosts. You can’t say something like that. Obama leveraged a few jokes at Kanye about the presidential bid: “Do you really think that this country is going to elect a black guy from the South Side of Chicago with a amusing name to be president?”
