Kanye West, Beck, Strokes to perform at Governors Ball fest
Governors Ball, New York City’s top pop music festival, has announced its 2016 lineup. Additional acts set to perform include Beck, Gary Clark Jr, Death Cab for Cutie, M83, Chet Faker, Courtney Barnett, Eagles of Death Metal and HAIM.
The festival, which takes place at Randall’s Island Park in June, welcomes back two previous headliners – Kanye West, who headlined three years ago in 2013, and The Strokes who played the year after.
You can see the full lineup below in the official poster, which was designed by West’s creative agency DONDA. Tickets remain on sale after that with a jump in prices afterward. More info on tickets is available here.
In 2015, the event was headlined by Drake, Deadmau5 and The Black Keys.
Well, in addition to the Coachella lineup dropping earlier in the week, we finally have the Governor’s Ball 2016 lineup, and it is dope.
Headlining this year’s extravaganza is none other thanKanye West (as he prepares to release a new project following Yeezus.) Accompanying him are other highly notable acts, including The Strokes, The Killers, Beck, CHVRCHES, and Father John Misty, just to name a few.
