You can check out the cuts here, and please head to our poll question below, and tell us what you think of them. Once the track plays through, it teases the release of his next song called “No Parties” – a collaboration between West and fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar. It lived on Audiomack for a few minutes before being hit with a DMCA takedown notice, after which a version popped up on Missinfo; there are dozens of illicit rips flooding YouTube and SoundCloud, some of which are deceptive or pitch-shifted. The tweet and link to Soundcloud has since been deleted. If there’s a chance that a similar approach might reap similar creative rewards on Swish, we’ll have our ears glued to Soundcloud (where West appears to be re-uploading “Real Friends” to correct a glitch with the sound) for most of 2016.
Kanye West has dominated news headlines during the first week of the new year, dropping a Nike diss track, “Facts”, late on New Year’s Eve, and being confirmed as the headliner for New York City’s Governors Ball this June.
Mr. West has yet to announce release date for Swish – but if Ye really plans on releasing new music every week until the album drops, we might not have to wait that much longer!
“Real Friends” – which features Ty Dolla $ign – was briefly available on Friday (Jan. 8), before it was taken down due to a distortion in the original upload.
