Kanye West’s Profanity Changed To ‘Ligger’ and ‘Motherducker’
After the song, West revealed that his verse was taken from an email he wrote while recording.
Vernon has collaborated with West several times in the past, also appearing on the tracks “Monster”, “I Am A God” and “I’m In It”.
However, the broadcaster confirmed that complaints had been received from “some viewers who were unhappy with some of the language used by Kanye West during his headline set”. Vernon, dressed in black t-shirt and baseball cap with headphones on, was introduced by West as “one of the baddest white boys on the planet”.
West ended his show by proclaiming himself the “greatest living rock star in the world”. But let’s be honest: Kanye’s pathetic attempt to sing ‘Rhapsody’, and his obvious unwillingness to even try to hit the highest notes, crossed the line from “paying tribute” and became disrespectful to the original.
Despite what nearly 150,000 petitioners tried to prevent earlier this year, Kanye West did indeed perform at Glastonbury tonight and apparently killed it.
Update: 6/28 9:10 a.m. EST: Watch footage of British comedian Lee Nelson interrupting Kanye, plus more performances from the set, below.
