Kanye West says he’s $53 million in debt
Kanye West capped off a feverishly busy week in NY – a week that also featured the premiere of both his LP The Life of Pablo and his latest Adidas collection at a Madison Square Garden event – by debuting a pair of Pablo tracks live as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
KANYE WEST’S new album, “The Life Of Pablo,” has ignited a new controversy between the rapper and pop superstar Taylor Swift.
Kanye West has pleaded with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg for financial help after revealing he’s in $53 million (£33 million) of debt.
Last night, Kanye West told his nearly 19 million Twitter followers that he is $53 million in debt, which seems like an extortionate amount to be in the red by. “Come on, we girls have got to stick together!” “This is my true heart…”
And while it’s unclear how many people are actually going to take the plunge and subscribe, West’s plea appears to have given Tidal a boost: the app now ranks #1 on the overall iOS App Store charts for the first time.
West said on Friday that Swift, whose “1989” album was the world’s best seller in 2014, had approved the lyrics to “Famous”.
But in a statement sent to Billboard, a CNN content partner, a Swift representative said, “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single “Famous” on her Twitter account”. “She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message”. Can I still support him and call myself a feminist?
“I made Dark Fantasy and Watch the Throne in one year and wasn’t nominated for either…I will have over 100 Grammys before I die”.
