Kanye West sparks White House petition demanding his album be released early
“The President should order Ye (Kanye) to drop the album on the date August 21st”. Optimism was shortlived, however, as the White House removed it from the We The People website, citing a term of participation violation.
Come on White House, what the heck?!
So much so that one eager person started a White House petition demanding that Barack Obama force an early release of the rapper’s upcoming Swish record. “We haven’t gotten any new singles in months”, the petition read, according to Billboard.
Unfortunately, we’re not too sure that this is going to rank too highly on the President of the United States’ priority list. In all seriousness, a petition at the We The People site, which allows citizens to gather attention to causes via digital petitions, raised 100,000 signatures in support of forcing of forcing the rapper/producer to release his new album.
Dean has been officially quoted saying, “whenever Kanye say’s it’s done, it’s done”, and has not given any definite public word on when the album is coming out.
Kanye West previously announced his new album, SWISH (fka So Help Me God), would arrive summer of 2015.
The “All Day” rapper, who lives in the Hidden Hills area, with pregnant wife Kim Kardashian West and two-year-old daughter North West, reported Times magazine.
West’s last album, Yeezus, was released in 2013.
