Kanye West Takes High Road, Sidesteps Feud With Kid Cudi
Kanye West is now calling Kid Cudi the most influential artist – talk about a change of heart. “Ye, Drake, whoever. These niggas don’t give a f- about me. The most influential artist of the past 10 years”. He then proceeded to sing a soft, Autotuned refrain of “Hope you’re doing well” as the cheers kicked up.
Check out footage of Kanye West’s praise of Kid Cudi below. “Everyone thinks they’re so great”.
It makes sense that Kanye West’s most recent full-length, The Life of Pablo, remains an unfinished product (the rapper has repeatedly posted album updates, shuffling the track list and releasing new versions of songs) because West remains as much so himself. You mad ’cause I’m doing songs with Drake? Ain’t nobody telling ‘Ye who to do songs with!. “Talkin top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them”, he tweeted. My tweets apply to who they apply.
“I got called names before you, bruh. And they aint f-kin with me”, he added.
In his initial response to Cudi’s statements, Kanye questioned Cudi’s motives during his Tampa concert, saying that he was “hurt”, “disrespected” and that he “birthed” Cudi, according to Vibe.
“That was the first time I had been around him and his team in a while”, he told Billboard.com.
