Kasich: Women ‘left their kitchens’ for him
While he hasn’t caused much controversy on the campaign trail, OH governor John Kasich is under fire after comments he made Monday afternoon at a town hall meeting in Fairfax, Virginia. “For the first time since I have been running for President, I’m actually having people starting to know who I am”.
“I take orders from nobody”, Kasich said.
“I just think the organization has lost credibility, and at the end of the day it is about women’s health”. If it’s not this crusade, then it will be another one. Maybe he’s got a surprise army of lady voters hiding in a kitchen somewhere, or maybe they’re lurking inside of one of Mitt Romney’s binders. John Kasich did not address sexually transmitted diseases and instead claimed he was most focused on reducing in the infant mortality rate, especially among minorities. Women are divided, with 27 percent for Trump and 26 percent for Kasich, 19 percent for Cruz and 17 percent for Rubio. Kasich explained ethical lapses in terms that any woman should be able to understand: “You ever been on a diet?” he asked her. Why would I clear the decks for them? “They ought to be consolidating around me”.
In the New Hampshire primary, where Kasich placed second with about 45,000 votes, he got about 1,800 more votes from men than he did from women, according to exit polling figures.
“We’re getting big crowds everywhere we go”, he said on Monday. “He did it in OH and helped turn around his state and he did it as chief architect of the balanced budget in Washington-something we haven’t seen since he left”. This month, he has more often told of how he received a “message” or a “call” to run for governor in 2010; he does not explicitly name God as the caller, but his meaning is clear. “We’re going to win OH”.
KASICH: Sure, I’m sorry anybody who’s offended, of course. “I think I’ve done pretty well”.
She said she was concerned about the decision to defund Planned Parenthood because of its work preventing sexually transmitted disease. “That’s why you’re at where you’re at”.
“I’ll continue to operate on a high wire without a net”.
“Winning the nomination requires a candidate who is in a strong position to carry the state that knows them best, and Kasich is in a far better position to do that than Senator Rubio”, Kasich’s campaign said in its post.
Meanwhile, Kasich chief adviser John Weaver circulated a memo detailing why the candidate isn’t going anywhere.
“Former Secretary Hillary Clinton has a solid double-digit lead over Sen”.
