William told a young girl who lost her mother at age 14 and had been self-harming herself, “What happened should never have happened to you and you should never have gone through it”.
Admitting that men are not “great sharers” when it comes to their emotions, William made the young boy promise to keep contact with his brothers and father, saying, “Promise me that you will talk to each other”. “The fact you have gone through it and where you are now, you should be really proud”.
William and Kate’s appearances Wednesday marked the first time in a month they have been seen publicly after taking a vacation with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, in the South of France, near Biarritz.

Earlier this year, William, Kate, and Prince Harry announced a new joint campaign aimed at mental health awareness, named Heads Together, targeting the issues of suicide and bullying, and children’s mental health in particular.
William joined some of the kids playing a computer game and tried his hand at pool.
During their visit the couple will attend a reception and unveil a plaque to mark 25 years of the adult hospice.
