Katherine Jenkins welcomes her first child with husband Andrew Levitas

The 35-year-old opera singer and her handsome husband Andrew Levitas have welcomed their first child into the world and have named the little one Aaliyah Reign. The 34-year-old Welsh star posted a snap of a pair of pink baby ballet shoes and a photo of her and her husband on their wedding day.

She wrote: “Introducing our daughter Aaliyah Reign Levitas, who came loudly into the world weighing nearly 7lbs and surrounded by love”.

“We eagerly await the arrival of our little girl!” she added.

She had spoken about wanting to have children shortly after tying the knot: “Now I’m married, I do want kids…”

The pair Wednesday in September 2014, five months after Andrew popped the question to Katherine while holidaying in The Hamptons, New York.

The pregnant Neath classical singer appears in a photo with her holding a speech bubble to her bump with the words: “I want to see a rhino when I grow up…” That’s all I care about.

Sharing the same collage Levitas gushed: “We are absolutely besotted with her & grateful for the attractive blessing of this happy, healthy, little miracle”.

“I don’t want to be dragging my children around on aeroplanes”, she said.

The couple had first announced they were starting a family together back in April, earlier this year.

She continued: ‘I think that’s really hard to do when you’re on the road’.
