Kato Kaelin on ‘American Crime Story’
One person who will be watching the show is Kato Kaelin, whose life was turned upside down by the trial. Right, Marcia Clark looks on as evidence is presented to the jury in the O.J. The show is shot in the actual house the Kardashians lived in in Encino in the 90s (where O.J. was staying the day he was supposed to be arrested for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman), and the bedroom is the actual bedroom of teenage Kim Kardashian, apparently painstakingly recreated using old photos.
And it turns out, the disgraced football player really did threaten suicide – but it wasn’t in Kim Kardashian’s room, it was Khloé’s!
E! Online says that “The People v. O.J. Simpson” has topped other FX shows premieres including “American Horror Story” Season 1 (3.2 million viewers and 1.6 rating), “The Americans” (3.2 million viewers and 1.2 rating), “Fargo” (2.7 million viewers and 0.8 rating) and “Sons of Anarchy” (2.5 million viewers and 1.2 rating). She said living through the case the first time was a challenge and to have to watch “justice get thwarted” all over again is no easier.
Even so, Murphy stood by the accuracy of the series, telling reporters, “I never worked on a project that had more legal vetting than this”.
He’s in it too much. She assures that the details in the dramatic retelling did the unfortunate real-life events justice.
“For me, the biggest discovery were things that were not submitted to court”, John Travolta said.
Brown was Simpson’s ex wife.
In 2014, Kim Goldman told TODAY her anger toward Simpson still lingered, describing a moment shortly after the trial when she considered running him down with her auto after spotting him in a parking lot. It remains to be seen how the Kardashian family will be involved in upcoming episodes of The People v. O.J. Simpson. Where were you during the Bronco chase?
