Katy Perry Is a Candy-Haired Fairy in H&M’s Holiday Campaign

The United States pop singer is the face of H&M’s Christmas campaign and has recorded new festive dance anthem “Every Day Is A Holiday”. It’s almost December now, and they’ve finally released a two-minute long commercial starring Katy and others as a slew of non-denominational, vaguely holiday-inspired characters.

In the video, Perry appears in several equally odd roles, from that of a flying, bodacious fairy who flutters over twerking teddy bears to a toy soldier.

Most controversial, however, is her shirtless inclusion of that guy Sean O’Pry from the “Blank Space” music video, written and performed by Perry’s beloved sparring partner, Taylor Swift. So casual, so seasonally appropriate, so cool. With a celebratory note in her voice, Perry sings about how love is the best gift of all, making every day pretty much like Christmas.

“I can’t wait for you to give your wardrobe a few sparkle with this magical holiday collection”, Perry said.

The video that was uploaded on YouTube on Sunday has gone viral over the Internet and has received 267,968 views so far.
