Katy Perry ready to work with Taylor Swift
Katy Perry is willing to set aside her differences with Taylor Swift, at least under one condition.
Fans were quick to speculate yesterday that Perry had been hacked when she gave that just-say-sorry solution.
In a subsequent interview with Rolling Stone, Taylor wouldn’t name names, but said the track was about a former friend who stabbed her in the back. When someone asked if she would ever work with Swift, Perry responded with a short and simple answer.
Perry has taken swipes at her former friend ever since, which included a tweet during Swift’s Calvin Harris drama that now infamous phone call recording with Kanye West and another possible dig in Elle magazine a year ago.
She tweeted out a Hilary Clinton meme, following it with “time, the ultimate truth teller”. Perry responded. Swift hadn’t responded to Perry’s tweet as of publication, but every can agree that a collaboration between the two stars would be colossal. He also so far as to compare the move to Swift trying to “bury [him] like Katy”, referencing the alleged feud between the two pop stars.
Taylor told the magazine: ‘For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. “She did something so disgusting”, Swift said at the time.
Soon after the story went live, Perry tweeted, “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing”, and later hinted to Billboard that she was indeed referring to Swift. But even that wasn’t an actual apology to Lautner, who recently (kind of) confirmed the song was about him, it was just an explanation of the song. So now I have to avoid her. I won’t allow it’.
