Keenan Reynolds ties record with 84TH career TD

On Saturday, the talented senior hopes to add another milestone to his impressive list of accomplishments: first quarterback to go 4-0 as a starter in the Army-Navy series.

The Army vs Navy football game, 2015 edition, feels about as lopsided as this rivalry has felt over the past 15 years.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — With a shot at history at stake, Keenan Reynolds ended his Navy career with a clean sweep against Army.

Reynolds tells CNN’s Coy Wire that he was used to a tough, insane course load as far back as his freshman year, but he had a lighter class schedule this semester.

In the first half of the game, Reynolds set that mark, and he now has the most rushing touchdowns, 85, in Division I FCS and FBS history.

If you are a fan of Army then you know that December 1st, 2001 was the last time the Black Knights beat Navy 26-17 victory to finish off the Midshipmens 0-10 season. Chris Carter lost a fumble at the Navy 34-yard that was recovered by linebacker Ted Colburn.

Navy missed out on playing for the AAC championship after losing to Houston two weeks ago, and head coach Ken Niumatalolo has become the number one target of BYU to become their next coach.

Army got close enough for a Hail Mary pass to end the game, but it didn’t quite make it to the end zone.

“(Former Navy coach) Paul Johnson always said that physical superiority cancels all theory, and he’s right. Four of the last five meetings have been decided by seven points or less, and Army just couldn’t quite finish the job yet again on Saturday. On the next drive, Carter was intercepted by Navy’s Lorentez Barbour on the first play. His 50-yard third-quarter touchdown pass to Jamir Tillman, which put Navy ahead to stay, was his 30th career scoring toss, an academy record. If a team is flat-out better than you, you’re probably going to lose.

The defense made it stand by pitching a shutout in the second half as well as collecting three turnovers, all in the fourth quarter, including Daiquan Thomasson’s interception with 2:10 remaining.
