Keira Knightley Beats Kate Middleton in a Stylish Mum-to-be Poll

The ‘Most Stylish Celebrity Pregnancy’ crown went to Keira Knightley. The actress was voted as the most stylish mom-to-be in a poll conducted by My1stYears.com, a baby brand.

Oscar-nominated Keira showed off her baby bump in stunning butterfly custom Chanel dress on the red carpet of the Golden Globes. The floor-length gown featured a bib neck, tiers of ruffles at the hem along with appliqués of butterflies, feathers, and bugs. The 29-year-old Atonement actress is expecting her first child with husband James Righton. It was a surprise that she beat the Duchess of Cambridge in the poll. Keira has been dressing up in floaty, feminine frocks from brands including Valentino and Chanel, while Kate sports a more demure look in structured coats and well-tailored dresses.

Post her Oscar dress, Keira Knightley topped the best-dressed list for her billowing grey gown by Delpozo, at the Critics Choice Awards. The floor-length shirtdress had a Peter Pan collar, bodice with gold embellishments, a flowing pleated skirt and a long train. At the 15th Annual AFI Awards in Beverly Hills, she wore a loose-fitting floral dress.

BBC One soap EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa, who is expecting her first child with The Only Way Is Essex actor Dan Osbourne, was third in the list. The Saturdays’ singer Frankie Bridge, who is expecting her second child with footballer Wayne Bridge was voted fourth. Model Abbey Clancy, who is pregnant with her second child with footballer Peter Crouch came fifth followed by Sophie Hunter, fiancée of Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch.

The actress wasn’t that lucky on the awards front. She lost out to the “Boyhood’s” Patricia Arquette in the Best Supporting Actress category. The Imitation Game actress was earlier nominated for a Golden Globe for Pride and Prejudice and Atonement. She wed musician James Righton, 31, in May 2013.
