Kejriwal, AAP leaders visit Golden Temple
Kejriwal was accompanied by AAP Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur, youth leader Harjot Bains, MPs Bhagwant Mann and Sadhu Singh, singer Gurpreet Ghuggi, Delhi MLA Jarnail Singh, MP Bhagwant Mann, actor Gul Panag and advocate HS Phoolka.
With folded hands and a handkerchief covering his head, Mr Kejriwal went around the shrine complex, offered prayers and later cleaned utensils at the “Langar hall” or the community kitchen which serves food to over one lakh people in a single day.
“The way AAP has hurt the Sikh sentiments by comparing his false manifesto with the holy Shri Gurugranth Sahib ji whom we worship”.
Arvind kejriwal has said “sorry” in a novel way by cleaning dishes at Golden temple’s community kitchen. Even protests were held against the AAP which hat put high stakes in the state Assembly Elections due next year. As per AAP the move was aimed at seeking atonement for the party’s recent blunder over its youth manifesto that triggered a controversy.
Irrfan, who earlier met and interviewed Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad during his visit to Bihar capital Patna recently, had a candid chat with Aam Aadmi Party convenor Kejriwal as a part of promotional activity for his film “Madaari“. Talking about the “sewa”, Gurinder Bajwa, Amritsar Zone In charge claimed “We have tendered an apology to Almighty for our mistakes which were committed unintentionally and I think there should not be any more politics on the issue”.
Notably, the Punjab police have booked AAP leader Ashish Khetan under Section 295-A of Indian Penal Code on the complaint of Karnail Singh Peermohammad.
