Kejriwal, NDA, and a CBI raid that turned ugly

The AAP allegations – an elaboration of what it spoke about a day earlier – came two days after the CBI raided the office of the principal secretary to Kejriwal on charges of corruption. Instead, they related to the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), which Jaitley headed for over a decade.

The glum faces at the press conference by AAP’s B-Team on the so called DDCA scam said it all as Arvind Kejriwal kept away and Manish Sisodia was nowhere to be seen. They would have seized it. But after my media briefing, they left it. Not clear if they took a copy.

Bedi also demanded that the DDCA should be registered under the society act instead of the existing company laws.

Kejriwal’s rage in this video doesn’t behoove of a Chief Minister and was indicative of a coming soon exposé and it happened faster than one would have expected.

In his tweets, Kejriwal also suggested that Jaitley was anxious about Delhi government’s probe into the functioning of DDCA. “He did’n get a good management and he allowed himself to be sucked into the system”, Bedi said while coming down hard on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran.

“BJP and Aam Aadmi Social gathering at the moment are enjoying blame video games over the CBI raid on Rajender’s workplace and the checking of information in Kejriwal’s chambers”.

After the Central Bureau of Investigation conducted a raid targeting Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar, the CM took to Twitter to air his misgivings about the treatment of his government at the hands of the Centre.

“Searching files at the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and taking some of the files in their custody on Monday evening – what does it all signify?” he asked. If the raid was not about the chief minister’s present term, why was the register seized?

The AAP chief in a stern warning to Modi also thundered that he is not going to be cowed down by any CBI raid.

The CBI carried out searches at 14 places connected with Kumar in the national capital, including his residence, and various locations in Uttar Pradesh.
