Kelby Tomlinson: Recalled From Triple-A
San Francisco Giants’ Joe Panik, center, rounds the bases between Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Jeanmar Gomez, foreground, and shortstop Freddy Galvis after hitting a two-run home run in the seventh inning of a baseball game in San Francisco, Friday, July 10, 2015.
2B Joe Panik was placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday due to lower back inflammation.

“He’s going to take some time, which he needs”, manager Bruce Bochy said.
Kelby Tomlinson might not have prevented the Giants’ bullpen from blowing Monday night’s contest against the Braves, but the gangly 25-year-old rookie did his best with his only at-bat of the game. He was best known for his work up the middle where he committed just nine errors in almost 300 chances. He was batting a combined. Tomlinson is the 29th former Red Raider to make his debut and one of 13 who have made it to the major leagues since 2006.
