Kelly Clarkson Cancels Remainder of Tour Including Irish Date
Grammy award victor and former American Idol Kelly Clarkson announced today that she is cancelling the remainder of her United Kingdom and Canadian tour dates, including a stop in Dawson Creek October 15, due to voice strain. Clarkson will stay on vocal rest for the rest of the year.
Kelly Clarkson has cancelled her remaining tour dates, including her concert at Dublin’s 3 Arena.
Six USA tour dates were previously cancelled in September.
Kelly, 33, originally experienced vocal problems after the birth of her daughter River and admits she was terrified she’d never sing again.
The singer took to Twitter to say she was “so bummed” that she couldn’t play some of her gigs, also saying, “this kills me, but doctors are saying I need to rest my voice”.
According to CBC News Clarkson released a statement stating “I am truly sorry that I have to cancel the remainder of my tour dates”.
The singer revealed she and husband Brandon Blackstock are expecting their second child in August.
Concert promoter Evenko says ticket refunds can be obtained at the original place of purchase.
