But now the American Idol alum took to Instagram to reveal the sex of her baby-on-the-way.

Kelly Clarkson and her music manager/husband Brandon Blackstock are expecting a baby boy!

“River’s gonna have a little baby brother”, Clarkson shared on Friday.

After holding back tears while introducing her next song, “Piece By Piece”, Kelly surprisingly exclaimed, “I was not planning on announcing this, but…”

The couple is already parents to join 16-month-old daughter River Rose, of whom Kelly often shares adorable photos on social media.

Kelly Clarkson, 33, finally revealed the gender of her forthcoming baby on October. 23! Everything is great. I haven’t vomited yet.

“So bummed that I have to cancel a few of my tour dates”, she wrote to her fans on Sept 11. Honestly, I’m just hormonal today. “This is a freakin’ win, y’all!”

Blackstock has two other children from a previous marriage, a daughter Savannah and son Seth.

“I want another one – But I’m just a little frightened because [River is] so ideal”, she admitted to People.
