Kelly Clarkson: Her Tryst With Motherhood And Release Of New Album
The winner of season one of American Idol, Kelly Clarkson feels a bit sidelined by other artists. She recently revealed in an interview that not many famous singers are ready to collaborate with her on her new album, Piece By Piece. She revealed that only R&B crooner John Legend agreed to work with her on her upcoming album.
Clarkson has previously recorded with many talented artists including stepmother-in-law Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, and Jason Aldean. The Grammy-winner, Clarkson 32, feels as if she has some contagious disease like plague or leprosy because no one is agreeing to work with her.
Kelly is one of the most successful and prolific vocalists and her earlier works have been multiplatinum and No. 1 hits on the Billboard 200, despite of lacking popular-name collaborations. Piece by Piece is her 7th studio album.
Clarkson, 32, her husband Brandon Blackstock got married in October 2013, and welcomed their daughter River Rose in June 2014. The singer reportedly had a difficult pregnancy. Post giving birth to her new born, the singer also lost her voice temporarily. Kelly Clarkson included a snippet of River’s heartbeat in one of her songs in her upcoming album.
The four-time Grammy Award winner however has enlisted Sia’s song writing talents for her album, and ended up using two of her songs after asking her for tracks. Kelly will release one of the numbers as her next single.
The singer however has not taken the rejections very seriously and looks forward to collaborating with other top musicians in future. Piece by Piece is Kelly’s first studio album since her 2011 Stronger, however she released the holiday collection in 2013,Wrapped in Red.
