Kelly Clarkson’s Covered “Cool For The Summer” For Demi Lovato’s Birthday

Some covers have been known to conjure tears from the singer but last night’s gig at the Staple Center in Los Angeles, not only did Clarkson get teary-eyed, she announced that she was pregnant with her second child.

Lovato was quick to learn of Clarkson’s handsome cover and then took to Twitter to thank her for what she called the “BEST BDAY GIFT EVER!!”

She continued to share another happy bit of news, “I haven’t vomited yet!”

Demi’s boyfriend Wilmer also sang her praises on his own Instagram account, where he shared a photo of themselves enjoying a relaxed meal.

The Since U Been Gone singer told the crowd, “It’s one of my girls’ birthday tomorrow…”

“She’s always been so supportive and so cool”, Clarkson said of Lovato when introducing the song. She wrote: “WOW WOW WOW”. The “American Idol” victor admitted that it wasn’t the way she wanted to announce her pregnancy and even apologized to her husband, Brandon Blackstone. @kelly_clarkson thank you SO MUCH for covering #coolforthesummer at your show tonight!!!

The 23 year old’s shooting for the magzine was branded too hot by some, but Demi has stood by the cover saying it was important to show people that she now feels comfortable with her body. That was unplanned. I’m honestly so hormonal today… “That’s a win y’all”. She told Fitness Magazine: “Learning to be grateful for our bodies and taking care of them are the best ways for us to empower ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually”. Clarkson mentioned that she was “frightened to have another one” since her first child, River Rose, was “so flawless”. Because she’s so great – like, the yin to her yang.
