Kelly Rowland Joins Season 2 of ‘Empire’ | Out Magazine
Los Angeles, Jul 7: Singer-actress Kelly Rowland is set to join the upcoming second season of the television drama series “Empire”.
The move suggests that viewers will finally get a glimpse at the origins for the the gangster-turned-rapper-turned-entrepreneur. Chris Rock, Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz are also expected to appear in Season 2.

Kelly Rowland is reportedly joining a huge television hit, and there’s some speculation that she’ll be able to show off her musical abilities nicely on the show. News, she will pop up on season 2 as Lucious’ mother in a flashback.
Empire’s VIP guest list for season 2 just keeps growing! Online reports. Instead of taking on singing duties, Rowland is reported to be playing the mother of Terrance Howard’s Lucious Lion. The news was revealed by a source of the publication during the 2015 Essence Festival in New Orleans over the weekend.
