Kellyanne Conway Concedes: Donald Trump Will Not Lock Hillary Up
Hillary Clinton’s margin in the popular vote against President-elect Donald Trump has surpassed 2 million, furthering the record for a candidate who lost in the Electoral College.
During the presidential campaign, Trump vowed he would appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the former secretary of state after the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Justice Department decided against prosecuting Clinton for her use of a private email server while serving in the Obama administration. President Barack Obama still holds the constitutional authority to completely pardon Clinton until noon EST on January 20, and would likely do so if he actually believed she would face criminal prosecution.
The small group of Democratic electors initially hoped to bring enough of their Republican counterparts on side to keep Mr Trump short of the 270 votes he needs to be named president.
If Trump chooses Romney for State and Mattis for Defense, he would be sending a signal to our leading allies around the world and to Putin and the Russian military that while he wants better relations between the United States and Russia, he would take a strong negotiating position and would not support Russian aggression.
Trump then: “If I win, I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation, because there has never been so many lies, so much deception”.
The vote in MI has still not been called as the results on 8 November were very close – and the 16 electoral votes in the state have not been proportioned to either Mr Trump or Ms Clinton.
But he said he’s no longer interested in his businesses and will be passing them on to his children. I’m not a great believer.I’m not a big believer in man-made climate change.”And in May, he said he would “cancel” the Paris climate change accord. I guess, added together, it was definitely the most vicious; probably, I assume you sold a lot of newspapers”. It’s a simple strategy: if he chips away at the perception of trust in the organization, its criticism of him – even when fact-based – becomes infected with doubt.
President-elect Donald Trump waves to the crowd as he leaves the New York Times building following a meeting, Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, in New York. I thought we elected (Trump) president. “I wouldn’t only complain about the Times“. This summer, Bannon called Breitbart News, the website he led, “the platform for the alt-right”, a white nationalist movement.
“We have to make ourselves competitive”, Trump said. Every Republican Senator denies climate change even exists.
Two people advising Trump’s transition team on energy and environment issues said they were caught off guard by his remarks. “I have an open mind to it”, he said. “Four weeks ago, they weren’t in love with me”. But he said that Kushner, who is an observant Jew, “could be very helpful” in reconciling the longstanding dispute between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
But Trump stood by Bannon.
