‘Kenan & Kel’ Reunite on ‘The Tonight Show’ for Epic ‘Good Burger’ Sketch
On last night’s Tonight Show (September 23), Jimmy Fallon dreamed up a sketch in which his teenage self held a part-time job at Nickelodeon’s infamous Good Burger.
In the behind the scenes video below Ed (Kel Mitchell) and Lester Oaks (Kenan Thompson) talk about their mutual appreciation of all things Good Burger.
Kel has described his character Double G as a “comedic version of artists like Kanye, Diddy, Eminem and 50 Cent” and says that the rapper will also be a singer, dancer, investor and an entrepreneur.
Given that the sketch proved that the two still have the magic together, let’s hope they reunite again in the near future!
Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, stars of the popular Nickelodeon series All That, confront the ogre of faceless corporate tyranny and have fun doing it in this comedy for young people. The flashback led to a recreation of the classic skit, reuniting the 90’s comedy team of Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. This time, though, Fallon joined Mitchell – whom the public has largely forgotten, with the exception of a 2006 death hoax on MySpace – behind the Good Burger counter. Then, the character of the 37-year-old Kenan as an annoyed construction worker came in and ordered a meal but said he got no time for a “good shake”. Moreover, Kenan is now working as a cast member of “Saturday Night Live” while the 37-year-old musician was back to Nickelodeon as a game-show host. The drink looks as if it may actually be orange soda. Thanks to him, we’ve gotten to revisit both Saved by the Bell and Full House, and our lives are better for it.
In the clip, Good Burger has a very special guest: Black Thought of the Roots, and he’s here to make Ed a special deal.
