Kendall Jenner Is a Suffragette for New ‘Rock the Vote’ Video
Kendall Jenner had a tough time going through the change, especially when she was facing losing Bruce Jenner, before meeting Caitlyn. We’re able to express our opinions online with links and hashtags.
In honor of National Voter Registration Day, Jenner started the footage dressed up like a suffragette while her voice-over states, “Every day we vote”.
Jenner runs down notable moments of the votes for women campaign, culminating in the Nineteenth Amendment passing in 1920.
After decades of fighting, she explained, women finally were given the right to vote in elections in August 1920.
“Because of suffragettes and their battle, gender doesn’t matter, but your vote always can”, she concludes the video. But your vote always can. “And I’m here to rock the vote”.
In this Independent Journal x Rock the Vote video, Kendall Jenner gives an important history lesson to those who don’t know – or have forgotten just how hard these fantastic women had to fight to earn this right for us. The video opens with a glimpse of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s trip to Jerusalem to baptize North, but things get more dramatic from there.
“Politicians might have the bully pulpit, but the Kardashians can reach a wide audience themselves on social media”, the outlet said.
