Kentucky man questioned in case of dead Prescott man

The body is being sent to medical examiners in Frankfort for identification.

The Kentucky State Patrol said it found a body in a box in Bell County. There was information that his girlfriend, 44 year old Rose Keuhni, possibly dropped him off in Peoria County to visit relatives for Thanksgiving, but he never showed up.

A missing man was murdered in Prescott and transported to Kentucky where his body was later discovered in a box, according to details released Thursday by IL authorities. While police will not name the individual, they say that he or she is now being held at the Pierce County Jail, in connection with their missing person report.

Kentucky State Police are investigating after a body was found in box in Bell County. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning. Information was passed along about the location of a body in Bell County, Ky.

“Troopers from Post 10 responded to the location and located two large boxes over an embankment”, Jacobs said in the release.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office has now taken over the investigation.

Prescott police say they have detained a person of interest in Pierce County Jail.
