Kerry Katona’s husband George Kay ‘arrested after jewellery carjacking’

Mum-of-four Kerry, who was reportedly unaware of the arrest, retweeted the message which included a picture of a child’s jewellery box and wrote: “You do make me laugh!!”

The former Atomic Kitten star’s husband has been arrested for suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery, police have confirmed.

Another man was then allegedly attacked after he spotted the altercation taking place.

The Honda was later found in north west London after it had been set alight.

Neither victim sustained any significant injuries, police have said.

Police say three men assaulted the driver of a Mercedes, before fleeing with two bags of jewellery.

‘It is the last thing she needs after the year they have had’.

According to reports, the 35-year-old was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery and The Sun has reported that he has since been bailed.

‘Kerry doesn’t know that George has been arrested. “When she finds out she will be heartbroken”, a source told The Sunday. “He has been released on police bail until August 20”, said police in a statement.

News of his arrest is likely to upset Kerry, 34 – who also has children Lilly-Sue and Molly with ex-husband Brian McFadden and Heidi and Maxwell with her second husband Mark Croft – as he only recently moved back into their family home following their brief split last month.
