Kerry Washington: I want Beyoncé on Scandal

Washington opened up during her Good Morning America appearance about the status of her Scandal character Olivia Pope’s relationship with President Fitzgerald Grant.

Washington, who is an ambassador for domestic violence awareness group Purple Purse, was on hand Thursday evening to unveil her new handbag design. As opposed to the “Pope” I play, who makes you not so close to God. “I don’t think Olivia Pope would be invited because there would be no scandal”, she explained.

“It would be great to have somebody like Beyoncé on the show, because any time Beyoncé does anything, it makes the world stop, and I would just be happy”, Kerry said during a Sirius XM session with Entertainment Weekly editor Henry Goldblatt on Friday (25Sep15). “I number I won’t discover the pope for a occasion”.
